Fall!

Despite looks of uncertainty captured in the post below, I must say that I adapted to preschool with great aplomb. Sure, on the first day, maybe 5 minutes of disorientation - tops - but by the second day of drop-off, I was hooked. (From what I could sense, my mom was torn between delighting in my independence and feeling a tad snubbed by my lack of separation anxiety. She'll get over it.)
At the time, she was reveling in her new lifestyle as a 1099-er and accompanied me on my first class field trip to Green Meadows Farm (that's right. A farm, in Queens - who knew?). This, plus apple-picking with my mom and dad —was like Fall on steroids... crisp, cool, full of color — and pumpkins.
